Tournaments
Blue Square Skill Games provide an exciting range of Sit & Go Tournaments, regular scheduled multi-table tournaments and special-event tournaments. These tournaments are available for all our multiplayer games including Blackjack, Gin Rummy and Backgammon. Tournaments are an exciting opportunity to stake a little money, to win a lot.
Tournament Schedule
All of the start times below are shown in GMT – GMT is currently one hour behind BST (British Summer Time), so please be aware of the difference between the times shown below and your own time zone when registering for any Tournament.
SATURDAYS – ‘The Big Pot’ Backgammon Tournament. Every Saturday at 20:00 GMT costing only £11 to enter with £10 from each entry being added to the pot. All games are 3-point matches with a 7-point final with the winner claiming 40% of the total ‘Big Pot’!
SUNDAYS - £2,000 Backgammon Tournament. Every Sunday at 19:00 GMT guaranteeing a payout of £2,000. Great value for a buy-in of just £30.00. All games are again 3-point matches leading to a nail-biting 7-pointer in the final, where the winner walks away with a cool £500 and the top 16 players get paid out!
*Qualify for the £2,000 Sunday Tournament for just £2.50. Qualifier tournaments for the Sunday £2,000 Backgammon tournament are now online four times daily Monday through Thursday at 12:15, 16:15, 21:15 & 22:15 GMT with only one on Fridays at 12:15 GMT. Play every round to 1point so even beginners have a good chance of winning. The winning player receives a free buy-in to Sunday’s £2,000 main event worth £30.00. All qualifying players will be entered into the main event tournament before 16:00 GMT on Fridays.
WEDNESDAYS - £100-Added Blackjack Tournament. Every Wednesday at 19:00 GMT join our Vegas-style head-to-head Blackjack tournament with guaranteed prize pool of £100. Direct buy-in of just £11(inc fee) with £10 of each entry being added to the pot, so the more people that enter, the bigger the pot! Play every tournament round to 10 hands of Blackjack. After 10 hands, the player with the most chips progresses to the next tournament round. The Top 8 players get paid, with first place taking home 40% and the runner-up 20% of the total pot!
THURSDAYS - £250 Backgammon Tournament. Every Thursday at 19.00 GMT with a £250 prize pool paying 8 players and only £10 to enter. All games are 3-point matches with a 7-point final.
FRIDAYS - £600 Gin Rummy Tournament. Every Friday at 19.00 GMT join our superb-value Gin Rummy Elite tournament with a £500 prize pool. Direct buy-in for just £15.00. All tournament rounds are played first-to-100points. Get into the Top16 players to share the prize pool. First place receives a guaranteed £240 and runner up £120.

Regular Daily Tournaments
We have a huge choice of scheduled tournaments throughout the day and night. Tournaments start from as little at 1p and are a great way to turn a few pennies into pounds. You can see tournaments in the game lobby several hours (and sometimes days) in advance of their scheduled start times. There are so many tournaments we can’t list them all here so enter the game lobby for today’s full list of regular tournaments.
Daily Pennyroll Tournaments
We offer £20 pennyroll (just 1p to play) tournaments four times every dayday at the following times:
11:00 GMT – Poker Dice
13:00 GMT – Gin Rummy
14:00 GMT – Dominoes
15:00 GMT - Blackjack
18:10 GMT – Backgammon
Pennyroll tournaments are a great way to learn how to play in tournaments (and build your bankroll too).
Tips on How to Play Tournaments
1. Register to play. Our tournaments are scheduled to start at specific times every day. You need to register in advance of the start time in order to play. When you register to play, you also pay the buy-in (and the tournament fee, if any). You can choose to leave the tournament any time in advance of the scheduled start time and you’ll have your money refunded instantly.
2. Choosing Tournaments. We label tournaments with information to allow players to understand exactly which game it’s for, what game rules the tournament uses, the amount of money added or guaranteed (if any) and the number of people who share the prize money.
For example: BG-3pt £100-added pays 8plrs
This means the tournament is for Backgammon (BG), every tournament round is played to 3point (3pt). There is £100-added to the prize money, which means the minimum prize money in the tournament is £100 and the prize money will increase with every player who registers to play. Finally, you can tell the tournament pays the prize money to the top-placed eight players (8plrs).
3. Tournament Information. Click on a tournaments description in the lobby (it’s under-lined, see?) and up will pop a small window providing you with more information on the tournament. You can see which players have registered to play and how much the prize money currently stands at. Once the tournament has started, clicking on the tournament description allows you see to where players are in the tournament and the amounts of money they have won (or stand to win, if they win the next tournament round).
Important Additional Information
Be online, on time! The scheduled tournaments listed above will appear online and be open for registration for several hours or days (depending on the tournament) before the scheduled start time. Pennyroll tournaments are generally available only three hours before the scheduled start time. Once you have registered to play in a tournament please ensure you are online, on time, at the scheduled start time – you should also stay online while you are still competing. Players arriving more than 2 minutes after the scheduled start time of a tournament or game round will forfeit.
